Management of aquatic milieus and flood prevention

On 4 February, the Loire Public Establishment held an information and discussion morning in Orleans, specifically devoted to practical ways of implementing the new “GEMAPI” (management of aquatic milieus and flood prevention) competence. In addition to officials and technicians from the Establishment’s 50 member local authorities and from the Local Water Commissions (CLEs) of the 8 Water Management Plans (SAGEs) it is currently managing, the meeting was also more generally aimed at all Public Establishments for Intermunicipal Cooperation (EPCIs) with tax-levying powers and river syndicates in the Loire and its tributaries’ basin.
