As a partner of the Mission Val de Loire from the outset, the Université catholique de l’Ouest (UCO) wanted to play a part in the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the Loire Valley's UNESCO listing by organising this evening event.

This celebration was an opportunity to go back over the activities conducted over the last decade – mainly involving the work of the Institut d’arts, lettres et histoire (IALH) and Institut de biologie et écologie appliquée (IBEA).

Concerned by the values embodied by the Loire region and the associated themes (river, heritage, ecology, studies and training, etc.), the UCO participated in the activities coordinated by the Mission Val de Loire very early on, along with other Loire-based universities, including European summer universities, training sessions for professionals, and the "Niger-Loire governance and culture" programme.

Bringing together participants of different specialities from the Loire region and abroad, the evening debate had a musical and poetic interlude.
