La valeur patrimoniale des économies de terroir

Published on 02 March 2017 - Updated 23 June 2017

In the context of studies on the economy of culture, heritage value and economic value have long seemed to be at odds. Based on the example of Climats du vignoble de Bourgogne – Patrimoine mondial, this publication offers an unprecedented discussion on the complementary nature of cultural and economic values of lands worldwide by combining monetary and non-monetary assessment data from agri-cultural sites. It also tackles the issue of the complementary nature of international labelling (World Heritage, Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System, Biosphere Reserve, Geographical Indication, etc.) as an approach for local areas’ development in the long term.
