At Vitiloire the Loire Valley welcomed its partners in the VITOUR network. It was an opportunity to place on record accomplishments proceeding from the signature of an International Declaration but also to plan for future projects.

François Bonneau, President of the Centre Regional Authority and of Mission Val de Loire, Daniel Dupuis, Regional Councillor for the Pays de la Loire, and Patrice Laurendeau, President of the Vins de Loire inter-branch organisation (InterLoire) signed the " International World Heritage Vineyards Declaration " for the Loire Valley, alongside the elected representatives of the other partner vineyards.

The VITOUR network partners decided to submit an Interreg IV C European project dossier in January 2009, the expected results of which are:
- the creation of tools for mediating and interpreting the winemaking landscape
- training sessions for guides, tourism professionals and wine professionals
- a awareness-raising campaign on the subject of landscape, with the objective of caring for the landscape (for instance terraced vineyards) and re-establishing winemakers.

For this new project, two other vineyards will join the network:
- Lavaux, Vineyard Terraces (given World Heritage status in 2007)
- Landscape of the Pico Island Vineyard Culture (given World Heritage status in 2004).
